John Perno graduated from Lock Haven University with a Mass Communication/Journalism Degree. Shortly after graduating in 1997, he began working for Maury Povich and his show. John writes, edits, and produces the on-air promotion for the Maury Show. He also oversees the day to day running of Smashpoint Creativeworks, which includes the on-air promotion for The Jerry Springer Show and The Steve Wilkos Show in Stamford, Connecticut. He lives in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Steven Tsapelas Is a graduate of Hofstra University. In 2007, he wrote and created the YouTube series "We Need Girlfriends" which went on to be developed as a network sitcom by CBS and Darren Star. He has also written numerous award-winning short films as well as an episode of the animated series "Pound Puppies." Tsapelas has served as a Promo Writer and Producer at SmashPoint CreativeWorks since 2012. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and their two children.
Todd Blass ss a Senior Writer Producer with Smashpoint. Prior to Smashpoint Todd was in development at MTV and an assistant to Conan O’Brien at Late Night. He began his career as a member of the NBC Page Program. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and originally from Garden City, NY.
Jose Conde was born in Guatemala City and raised in New York City. As a teenager, Conde participated in the storied Ice Hockey in Harlem program where he played right-wing and later attended boarding school at the prestigious Kimball Union Academy. Conde received his graduated degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has been working at SmashPoint CreativeWorks in its various iterations since 2000, where he has served as the lead Promo Editor for The Jerry Springer Show. Conde currently lives in Connecticut.
Nathan Rice is a highly creative Producer/Editor. Basically he’s a builder. It’s what he loves to do. Being able to both produce and edit allows him to be able to go wherever creativity takes him. He excels in taking a project form start to finish under high pressure situations and delivering a finished project that grabs your attention.
P.S. - He can also barbecue…well.
Gustavo Noriega was born in Guatemala City and raised in New York City. He attended Borough of Manhattan Community College as well as City University of New York. He has worked for MoPo Productions, Stun Creative and SmashPoint CreativeWorks. He has experience as a Production Assistant, Assistant Editor, IT Support (hardware, software, tech infrastructure), bookkeeping, production and office support. Gus currently lives in New York with his wife and their daughter.
